While all the factions work slightly differently and have unique mechanics, all of them share the same central tenets - 9 faction units and 9 upgrades, 6 heroes and 6 alternate heroes, 2 unique faction hero skills and at least 3 unique buildings. For example, Corvus and Morrigan belong to the Way of Eternity faction. Thus, their skills give a boost to the Way of Eternity heroes.
